Our Mission

Southern California for Democracy is an umbrella organization of local, regional, and affinity groups and individuals who are aligned with the broad purposes of Democracy for America.

SoCal for Democracy's goal is to continue to help the coordination and communication among local groups in the diverse Southern California area, from the Central Coast to San Diego, and from Los Angeles to the Inland Empire and Southern Nevada.  Our goal is to keep alive the conversation among the coalition of activists who came together to take back America in the past election, from DFA to America Votes and ACT and SEIU, as well as all those who worked so hard in the Kerry grassroots -- all of us who represent, in the words of Howard Dean and Paul Wellstone, the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party.
